Eddy Chibu

Country Manager, Kenya

Eddy is Business for Development’s Country Manager in Kenya. His key responsibility is to transform the lives of rural communities by using a participatory approach, empowering smallholder farmers throughout the agricultural value chain.

Eddy has more than twelve years’ experience working with both the Kenyan Government and Kwale County Government at senior administrative positions. He graduated with a degree in Business Information Technology and he is currently writing his thesis for his Masters in Governance and Leadership.

How does Eddy want to make a difference?

"To positively influence smallholder farmers' mindsets, there is a need for sustainable participation. Smallholder farmers' full involvement in the entire crop value chain is vital to achieving food security and economic empowerment."
