Laiza Garcia

Project Director for the Cross Sector Development Partnership Initiative

Laiza is passionate about building awareness in the corporate sector to embrace responsible business as part of their core strategy and purpose, then to foster cross sector partnerships for international development.

Laiza’s experience includes the design of economic social governance (ESG) strategies, managing implementations, negotiations and related stakeholders’ relationships required to achieve an organisation’s core objectives.

With 14+ years’ experience as a consultant, as part of Accenture Commercial Consulting and Accenture Development Partnerships practice, she has focused on the international development sector; applying private sector approaches across the government, the not-for-profit and corporate worlds, to deliver sustainable outcomes for social impact.

On her previous engagement, she was part of an innovative malaria elimination project in Papua New Guinea. This is the New Ireland Provincial Malaria Alliance’s definitive feasibility study project, based on a cross-sector collaboration.

In 2015, she led the implementation strategy for the National Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) tracking platform in Mexico for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Mexican Government.
